5 Ways to accomplish any task

Our whole day can be chunked into tasks. And the depth of the day is dependent on the way we accomplish these tasks. If the tasks are not completed then your day might be dull, whereas when you get all the tasks done you might feel a sense of fulfillment. Therefore, accomplishing a task has great importance than you can imagine. Below are the five tips that can help you to accomplish any given task:

1. Prior planning

Planning is required before you leap into the task and start working on it right away. Planning will give you an overview of the tasks and will also give an avenue to the flow of the task in hand. It will also indicate the resources needed for the task and the appropriate time that is required to complete the task. Prior planning is very essential before you take in any major task.

2. Set aside a particular time

Everyone has their own "focus-time". That is, some people work efficiently at the early hours of the day whereas some are night owls who like to work late. Identify your focus time and schedule your task accordingly.

Also, follow a task time. Set a maximum of 30 mins straight for a task and follow it religiously.  Setting time for a task will give an urge of a deadline so that you could work in a more focused manner.

3. Eliminate distractions

Nowadays, it has become hard to focus because of the ample digital distractions that are available. Often we find it hard to stay away from social media for even 5 - 10 minutes. These distractions can eradicate the quality of your work. Therefore, it is good to eliminate all these distractions before even beginning with a task.

Remove your phone from your work area, close all the unwanted tabs, turn off the notifications, mute your phone, remove all the unwanted papers and materials that do not contribute to your task from the workspace. This will ensure more clarity and focus on your work.

4. Have all the needs handy

Always, make a list of things that you will require for the given task and make sure that you have all these resources handy in place. Avoid getting up often to pick up things that you need. This will also reduce your distraction and improve the focus level so that you can accomplish the task at ease.

5. Take a break

Follow the 30-5 rule where you work on a task for 30 minutes straight and take a 5 minutes break. Even when you are taking a break do not jump in and take your mobile to scroll through social media. Take calm breaks like stretching, having a coffee, or maybe walking!
