How to train your mind to be optimistic?

Being optimistic is one of the great things that you can do to yourself. There are numerous benefits to being able to see light in dark situations. Research says that people who have an optimistic outlook towards life tend to be more productive, creative and happy. The most common misconception of optimistic people is concluding that they always think positive. Positive thinking is not optimism. Optimism is the ability to see good in bad. It is the capacity of a person to handle a not so good situation effectively. Optimistic people are also the happiest people on the planet. They have an effective solution to every problem and are more likely to develop a growth mindset. Optimists also have less cortisol (the stress hormone) and more serotonin (the mood-boosting neurotransmitter) flowing through their systems.
