Who is the winner? You or your mind?

Our mind is a mystic. As much as there is a positive side for it, it also has a negative side.
First, let me tell you a story of Tutu and kuttu, the twin dogs which belongs to a village in India. Even though these dogs are twins, they both differ so much in their characteristics. Tutu safeguards the village, it never allows any other dog to enter into the village, it loves everyone in the village and is kind whereas kuttu is arrogant, it bites all the kids that are playing and always barks unnecessarily. These villagers loved tutu and hated kuttu. They also started feeding tutu more and taking care of it as if their own pet. On the other side, kuttu was fed very less and was not given any importance. As a result of this, the kind tutu started being more favorable to its caretakers and kuttu became very week to even bark.
We all have tutu and kuttu within us. It all depends on who we feed the most. If you feed the positive personality more, you will a positive person with all the blooms. If you chose to feed the negative personality more then you will become more arrogant, unlovable and worthless with time.
When you are in competition with yourself, it means that you are in competition with your negative self.
Your negative self is something that restricts you from achieving your goals. It loves laziness and so it will command you to be lazy and you know what most of us listen to what it says. Your negative self also loves entertainment, distractions, and vagueness. It is the culprit that always wants you to check social media even if you have nothing to see in it. It will never allow you to be focused on it. Do you know why our negative self has so much influence on us? It is because we give our decision making power to it. We hand it over to it and listen to it as if it is our master.
Our negative self gives first place to distraction. So when you have given the decision making power to it, it will give priority to distraction whenever you are trying to do some work. For example, say you are sitting in the exam hall trying to remember what you have learned but your negative self to whom you have given the ultimate power will start playing songs instead of giving you the answer. It might seem funny but it is important. Every one of us has dreams to conquer and goals to achieve. Our positive self will always have long term thinking and long term goal whereas our negative self will concentrate more on short term pleasures. For example, if you wanted to lose weight, you know that you have to hit the gym regularly and eat clean but at that time your negative self will pop up and will demand rest, it will have cravings for pizza all of a sudden, it will tell you that 'you are going to have a cheat day only today but will end up having cheat day every single day.
Your negative self grows only when you feed it. Say, suppose you have this craving for junk but you suppress this feeling and continue to eat healthily, it means you have won over your negative self. All that you have to do to stop this negative inner voice is that you have to act against it. Don't just let thoughts flow and act according to it, learn to control your thoughts and direct it where you want to. You have to be aware of when your negative self is distracting you and act against it. When it says order junk, you should not. By feeding it less and suppressing it more you can take back the power you have given to it. When our negative self suppresses, our positive self blooms automatically.
