3 Ways to find out what you want to do with your life!

Imagine sitting in a car with the engine on. You are all ready to go. But, wait! Where will you go? Should you go straight or left or to the right. Do you know the direction?

Okay, you feel that you can just drive around and figure it out on the way. So you geared up and raised the accelerator and followed the road. You keep going and you see so many turns. You never know where to go. To the right or to the left? Or should you just go straight? You choose a random path and you travel believing to reach some destination. You feel confused and frustrated because you did not know where to go. At the beginning, it seemed like fun and exploring. But as you kept traveling you kind of found it irrelevant and you even started questioning why should you drive in the first place. And then, suddenly your car stops. The diesel has worn out.

Your life is exactly like a car. If you do not know where you are going and what you are doing with your life. Then you will be lost somewhere not knowing how to move forward. Before you figure it out, most of your life will be done.

Therefore it is always good to know where we are going and what is our purpose. So that it will give us a sense of direction and clarity. This will reduce your stress level and will help you make use of your finite life in the healthiest way. The direction is needed to move forward.

1. Ponder over your life

Ask yourself what is your real purpose in life. Why do you think you were put on this earth for?

Sometimes, we don’t even know the answer to these questions.

At times like that, just ask yourself "what are the skills that I have? What inspires me? How do I want to live?"

You will have a picture of how you want to you in your mind. Even if it seems unrealistic at that moment, just ponder over that.

Question yourself, "What is the important thing in my life?", "How do I want to serve people?"

Answer all these questions and keep questioning on how to live the dream life. Please note that you should question yourself in a constructive way. Avoid questions like "What if I don’t know what to do?", "What if I fail in everything?", "What I did not even find a purpose in my life?"

Questions yourselves to elevate the kind of life you live. Not to degrade it.

2. Take opportunities

Sometimes, we find out we like something and we are good at it only if we try it out. So do not say no to new opportunities. Take new actions and observe if you are enjoying what you are doing.

Also, do not expect or push yourselves to love everything you do. We are humans and we should be imperfect. Do not be hard on yourselves trying to be good at everything you do. You can do mistakes and you are completely allowed to do.

3. Be patient

Do not try to figure out everything within 25 years of age. Some people are lucky enough to know what they are set to do at earlier stages of life. And some of us, need more experience to understand our purpose and work for it.

But, no matter what never stop exploring more. We are all a pool of immense potential. Everyone you know is capable of wonders. We don’t perform to our best only because we have not yet explored our inner world yet. Once you start exploring it then you will find your purpose.
