A happy and healthy mind is the foundation for any happiness you experience in life. You may achieve success and reach heights that no one has ever reached but without a happy mind you will not even be able to savor the happiness of being successful.

I am glad that nowadays the awareness of developing a healthy mind is getting the share it deserves. It is important to tame your mind so that it is always in a great receptive state. You need a happy and healthy mind to live your best life and enjoy even the tiniest bits of your wonderful life.

Below are the 7 simple yet profound methods that can help you in achieving the happiest state of mind.

1. Gratitude

Everything that you do in your life or strive to achieve in life has only one ultimate goal - happiness.  If you dig deep into every one of your goals or desire, you will find that the end outcome is something that gives you happiness. Nobody will work hard for something that results in a sad outcome. Everyone is running towards adding that one ounce of happiness to their life. 

Gratitude is the easiest way to feel happy. Being thankful for everything you have on a daily basis will not only increase your mood but also will help you to live a life of peace and contentment. Practicing gratitude daily is a habit that everyone should develop and follow consistently to improve their life.




Most of us feel distressed and sad because we are holding on to things that hurt us. Letting go of things that bother us is an awesome way to develop a happy mind. I know that it sounds easy but it is quite hard if you are someone who is holding on to things that make you sad for years.

3. Ignore negative people

Our fellow humans have a great influence on our lives. Unfortunately, there are many negative minded people who will try to pull you down. The one thing that you can do is "ignore" them. Remember that anyone can only affect you if you give them the power to do so. Always, be careful about whom you listen to and whom you give power over you.

There will be so many people who will try to manipulate you, make fun of you, hurt you, disappoint you, and pull you down. You cannot go to each and everyone and explain yourself, and you are not obliged to do so! Therefore the best way to maintain a healthy mind away from negative people is to just "ignore" them.

4. Meditation

Being present at the moment makes life very simple. Most humans do not have a healthy mind because we are always either living in the past or future. Meditation helps you to direct your monkey mind to stay in the present and focus on the "now". This will reduce so much stress and anxiety. Meditation is one of the best ways to inculcate a healthy-minded lifestyle.



5. Journal your happiness

Always have a handy journal with you and note down every tiniest happy moment you experience on a day to day basis. This will be like a reminder to be happy in between all the chaos. After all, life is to be cherished!

6. Self-love

7. Do what you love

Ok, I cannot emphasize more on the importance of doing what you love. Every person who is happy and content is someone who does things that makes their heart feel full. I know that there will be excuses such as "I have no time", "I have no money" and such. See, here again, you are only giving excuses to not follow your real dreams. If you are obsessed with being the better version of yourself then DO WHAT YOU LOVE!

I am not saying you quit right away and go and become an artist. It is not practical right! I am just saying that fill your day with things you love doing. If you love painting, paint at least for half an hour. If you love pets, then pet your dog at least for some time. Add flavors to your day by doing what you love to do. This will make your mind even happier and healthier.
